When Ordering 1/2 Bushel and Bushel Cases
We never pack bruised apples - There is a risk of bruising during shipment when ordering bushel cases. Whether the apples bruise in shipment depends on how UPS handles the box.
Refunds or Replacements - Honeycrisp.com does not provide refunds or replacements for bruised apples shipped in 1/2 and full bushel cases. If you would not like to risk the apples bruising in shipment, try aGift Box.
Bushel Case - most economical packaging method weighing approximately 38-40 lb. much like how they are packaged for grocery stores. ( A bushel case does not provide the same protection as a gift box and there is a risk of bruising.)
Count -the number of apples in a bushel case -the higher the count, the smaller the apple.
For example: An 80 count bushel case contains 80 apples - these apples are slightly larger than those in a 100 count case. (Click here for our FAQ Page.)
1/2 Bushel Case - economical packaging method weighing approximately 18-20 lb. much like how they are packaged for grocery stores. (A 1/2 bushel case does not provide the same protection as a gift box and there is a risk of bruising.)
Count -the number of apples in a 1/2 bushel case is between 24 and 50 apples depending on the size. These apples may be slightly larger than those in our gift boxes and will vary in size.
