- Same parentage it is sister to Mutsu (Crispin)
- Sweeter with less acid than Mutsu, but an excellent flavor
- Sweeter character with a lack of acidity, and is the better choice if you prefer a sweet eating apple
- Developed in Japan from a cross between Golden Delicious and Indo apples
