Spencer is a large, red or red blush over green, sweet-tart apple, crisp, juicy, greenish-white flesh.
Best known for desserts, sauce apples and excellent pies. Enjoy those pies! (fresh eating too)
Developed in 1926, released in 1959 by the British Columbia Experimental Station, BC.
Spencer is a cross between McIntosh and Golden Delicious
Native to the Northern East Coast of the United States and parts of New York, Michigan and Canada.
Picked in late October or early November
