A vibrant, naturally sweet juice that tastes like a garden-fresh sunrise — no juicer required. Fresh Honeycrisp apple, ripe banana, and a whole carrot get blended into a smooth, ruby-orange glass of pure vitamin fuel. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you feel virtuous and satisfies a sweet tooth at the same time.
Fresh, crisp apples make all the difference here. Honeycrisp is our top pick because it juices out sweet and clean without any bitter aftertaste. CandyCrisp is another wonderful option if you like it a bit sweeter. Order fresh from our orchard by clicking here.
Ingredients (serves 1–2)
- 1 Honeycrisp apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 ripe banana, peeled
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 cup cold water (skip if using a juicer)
- A handful of ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, to taste)
- Optional add-ins: 1/2-inch fresh ginger, squeeze of lemon
Directions
- Chop the apple, carrot, and banana into rough chunks.
- Add everything to a high-powered blender along with the water and ice.
- Blend on high for 60–90 seconds, until completely smooth.
- Taste and add honey or a squeeze of lemon if you like.
- For a smoother juice, strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut-milk bag (you'll get more fiber and nutrients if you don't).
- Serve immediately — the color and flavor are brightest right away.
Tips & Variations
- Add ginger for a warming zing that's especially good in cold-weather months.
- Turn it into a smoothie by blending in 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
- Meal prep. Chop the apple, carrot, and banana into freezer-safe bags and freeze. Blend straight from frozen with fresh water — no ice needed.
- Fresh apples matter. A wilted apple gives you a wilted juice. Store apples in the fridge for maximum crispness.
